District 8 Trustee

The Board of Trustees is the authority of the Association and sets policies and procedures. The Board of Trustees consists of twenty-one AALAS National Members serving for three years. Sixteen of the Trustees are elected by the Trustee districts, two from each district.

Each district elects an Alternate Trustee. Alternate Trustees are entitled to attend all meetings of the Board, but may not vote at any meeting or have the privilege of the floor. In the event that a Trustee position becomes vacant, then this vacancy shall be filled by the district’s Alternate Trustee for the remainder of the term.

The Board of Trustees convenes for a face-to-face meeting at least twice a year though may meet by conference call more frequently as needed.

The Trustees for District 8 are: Morag Mackay, Gene Rukavina with Vicki Riojas as Alternate
