2009 Conference Dates

IACUC 101 and IACUC 201 PLUS
January 21 & 22 - Tucson, AZ

sponsoring  program in Tucson, AZ.
 
IACUC 101: "The Basics" is a full day didactic and interactive training course for new as well as seasoned IACUC members, IACUC affiliates and individuals responsible for their institution's animal care program.
 
IACUC 201 PLUS: "The Process Plus Select Topics" is a highly interactive program that takes the fundamentals of IACUC 101 and applies them to the process and mechanisms of ensuring compliance. Six special sessions will be
held on Day 2 covering: Protocol Review, Program Review, Facility Inspection, Training, Non-Compliance and Post Approval Monitoring (PAM).

Back by popular demand, we have been asked to hold another 3I's: Harmonization of IACUCs, IBCs and IRBs Conference. This is the one conference every year that is geared specifically toward IACUCs, IBCs and IRBs and their unique responsibilities.  Apart from of your area of expertise – you will find the THREE I’s conference INFORMATIVE, ENGAGING and ENLIGHTENING!  We have keynote, plenary, general and breakout sessions for two full days, so that you can customize your conference experience!  AND, to catch up on the latest and most valuable products and services, we now have sponsored educational tracks!

Keynote Speaker: Gail Stevenson, DVM
Dr. Stevenson studied Animal Science at The University of Arizona and received her BS degree in 1974.  After completing her BS, she attended Colorado State University, Ft. Collins, CO, and received her DVM in 1979. She had an opportunity as a Research Assistant to teach and perform research on several projects prior to continuing her education toward a DVM degree.  After completion of her DVM degree, Dr. Stevenson returned to Tucson, AZ, and worked as a veterinarian for several years.  Her interests remained focused on research, and she was presented with an opportunity in 1984 to work in research at The University of Arizona in the Dept. of Anatomy as a Research Assistant. Dr. Stevenson continues to pursue her research opportunities at The University of Arizona and has worked in several departments, including Anatomy, Neural Systems, and Radiology. Currently, she holds the position of Research Assistant Professor, Center for Gamma-Ray Imaging, a National Institutes of Health-funded Research Center, in the Dept. of Radiology.  Her research continues to expand in the areas of nuclear imaging, behavior studies, data collection, and publications.
